RTO7 hosted two free AGCO Workshops in partnership with the Town of Innisfil, November 17th, and the Town of Saugeen Shores and the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce, November 25th with over 30 attendees at each. 
The four-hour workshops covered everything event and festival organizers need to know about having alcohol served at a large event from applying for a liquor licence to insurance to site plans and rules and regulations. 
Information and experience was shared by the following speakers:
  • AGCO representatives:  Applying for a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) and working with your local inspector
  • Arnold Schwisberg, Jazz on the Mountain at Blue: Advanced Liquor Permits
  • Roxane Davidson, General Manager/Festival Coordinator of Owen Sound’s Summerfolk:  Planning your event and documentation
  • Bill Clarke of the TG Group:  Identifying and minimizing your risk
  • Dan Rivett, Saugeen Shores Police Chief/ Sergeant Lewis DaSilva South Simcoe Police:  Community by-laws and working with the local police force
  • Gord MacKay, Lakeshore Recreation/ Rod Boynton, Innisfil Community Events:  Holding events in a licenced establishment and how an off-site caterer’s licence works
